Kodak Ektachrome E100, 100/120 film
Kodak Ektachrome E100 offers fantastic realistic colors, accurate color balance, precise skin tone reproduction, very fine grain, strong saturation, and high contrast. At the same time, Ektachrome has a subtle blue tint: photos of the sky, water, and mountains come out incredible. In fact, any other shots do as well.
Ektachrome E100 is a slide (positive) film. This means that after development in the lab, you immediately see a positive image, not a negative. Compared to regular negative film, Ektachrome E100 requires much more light. You should shoot it on very bright, sunny days or in studios with artificial lighting. When shooting, it is essential to set the exposure precisely—if done incorrectly, your photos will most likely be too bright or too dark. Slide film is very demanding and sensitive to mistakes.
At the end of 2019, Kodak released a medium format version of this legendary film, and now you can find it with us.
