Portra comes from the word "Portrait." It is a series of films specially created for portrait photography. It excellently reproduces skin tones, smooth transitions of shades and colors. It has relatively low contrast and pleasant fine grain. Photos taken on Portra come out very smooth and soft, yet lively and natural. For this reason, Portra film is especially loved by fans of portrait and landscape photography, as well as wedding and fashion photographers.

All Portra films provide excellent colors under mixed lighting, even under fluorescent light. However, we still recommend paying attention to ISO and choosing it depending on the shooting conditions. High ISO 800 film should be used when lighting is poor: at dawn and sunset, on cloudy days, or in dark interiors.
