Overexposed film is film that has been exposed to too much light.
Why could this have happened?
- The film was removed from the camera incorrectly. For example, not fully rewound.
- The camera shutter is broken and stays open constantly.
- Broken back that opens by itself.
- The back was opened before the film was shot and rewound back onto the spool.
If you have doubts about whether you loaded the film correctly or if it didn’t rewind by itself, fix it in complete darkness. A closed room or a special changing bag will work for this.
