The camera runs on standard AA batteries. We have already inserted them. On the left side of the camera, you will see a small screen and 4 control buttons for the camera’s basic functions.
Basic functions:
1. The Power button is used to turn the camera on or off. Turn it to the right — it turns on. Turn it to the right again — it turns off.
2. The flash activates automatically in poor lighting conditions. However, you can choose to turn it on manually, and it will work even on a sunny day.
3. There is a ring on the lens that allows you to change the focus mode: from 0.9 to 3 m, and from 3 m to ∞. Be sure to switch between them depending on the distance so that your subject remains in focus.
4. The final function — image brightness. There are three modes to choose from: normal, bright, and dark. For most situations, we recommend using normal mode.
All information about the modes and the number of shots is displayed on the screen on the back panel. The shutter button is located on the right, next to the Power button.
How do I insert the cassette?
- Open the back cover and insert the cassette so that its yellow stripe aligns with the yellow stripe on the camera. The yellow stripe should face you.
- Close the cover — the camera is ready to use.
- “But the shot counter hasn’t started counting!” Don’t worry. Turn on the camera and take a test shot: a black protective cardboard sheet will come out of the camera, and the counter will change to “10”.
- After that, do not open the cover again. Otherwise, the unexposed shots will be exposed, the shot counter will reset, and the letter “S” will appear instead.
How do I take photos?
Press the button — and the magic happens. A white photo will come out first. But give it a little time. Within a few minutes, a fully developed image will appear. The optimal developing temperature is 5–35 degrees. The warmer it is, the faster the photo will develop. After that, you can do anything you like with the photo — the image will not disappear.
