Ilford XP2 Super 400/135 film
Ilford XP2 Super 400/135 is a monochrome black-and-white film. You can develop it using the C-41 process along with other color rolls. The secret is in the emulsion: it is made not of metallic silver but of dyes.
XP2 Super is probably the only film that can be shot at different ISO values – from 50 to 800 and even up to 1600 on the same roll. This film produces exposure errors, so if you are just starting out in photography, Ilford XP2 can save your shots.
XP2 Super is optimized for scanning. Since it is a color film, it is compatible with the Digital ICE program, which automatically removes dust and scratches during scanning.
The film is fine-grained and not very contrasty. You can always add contrast during scanning or preserve the richness of the halftones. The choice is yours!
