Ilford SFX 200/120 Film

Ilford SFX 200 is a very unusual panchromatic black-and-white film. This is because it has increased sensitivity to red – 740 nanometers. This brings it very close to infrared films, which have long been discontinued.

The special feature of SFX 200 is that if you use a red filter for shooting, you can achieve an effect similar to infrared film with an infrared filter. Your shots will be enhanced with rich contrast and unusual tone rendition – the sky can even turn black.

You can also use Ilford SFX 200 film with other color filters – yellow, orange, or red. The effect will not disappoint.
